Last year the kids and I attended a program at a local (or should I say not so local, it took about 40 minutes to get there) nature preserve and had the opportunity to always look skyward with some most excellent telescopes! I haven't been able to find any local listing for programs, so we may just go and sit on the hill next to the house and look skyward, the shooting stars are easily visible with the naked eye!
